Paragraph on Implosion:
For MA Knight
HARK! Search, crawl, claw, find the magma chamber bubbling like a boiling pot. Etched in darkness. NIGHT! Moon beams onto encrusted fingernails. Shades of red from the maple leaves falling from the peak. Drying over the bed of heat, steam rising up and up and up and up. quiet. Silence before the shattering earth swallows everything whole, once again. SILENCE! Wiping the dirt from pink palms, etched lines filled with black glass, cutting into ripe skin. Not even the crickets chirp. An amalgam of soil and ash. Matted snow. A golem made from the leftovers of a failed empire. Multiple attempts of order created a slumped mess of shit. Looking down into the pit, a chamber rising and gasping for air. Thick like sludge, black like abyss. Blazing orange rays beneath it all. Sparkling the irises like the heat swishes around behind eyeballs. Watching, waiting, breathing when permitted. crouch, twist. Look back, twice—SEE! Lands covered in the hardening rock that mirrors a darkened world, razed rooms, spaces, houses, villages, communities. BURNED! SCATTERED! IMPLODING ON ITSELF!!!
Written for MA Knight. THANK YOU FOR LIFE. Go check them out, they write good shit that I need to catch up on, so go read for me.
